This was one of several these models made as full-size clays. The intention in 1976 was to imagine what an early-‘80s Taunus/Cortina replacement might look like. Bob Lutz wanted something more radical than an evolution of the Escort look in a Cortina style and so the designers leapt two generations to the Sierra. I have many more pic of this car - some versions were hatchback but this is the most attractive version from the front.
